Double Trouble

Lefthander Donnie Hume has none of the high profile that surrounds righthander Phillippe Aumont. But the two Mariners minor leaguers are sharing the dream of making it to the big leagues—sharing it in a very real way. Both men are being groomed as starting pitchers by pitching in the same games. Hume, the club's eighth-round pick out of San Diego State in 2007, and Aumont, a high school prodigy who was that draft's 11th overall pick out of Quebec, are pitching in tandem for low Class A Wisconsin.
