A year ago, Scott Diamond wondered what he had to do to prove himself to the professional ranks. After twirling three seasons at Binghamton and pitching well in his second stint in the collegiate Coastal Plain League, the lefthander wanted to sign, yet no team called his name during the 2007 draft.
