High School Top 25: June 4

Harvard-Westlake High of Studio City, Calif., holds onto the No. 1 spot of the Baseball America/National High School Baseball Coaches Association Top 25 as the Wolverines survived the challenging Southern Section Division I playoffs to capture not only a section title, but what will prove to be a national one as well. The Wolverines beat Marina High of Huntington Beach, Calif., 1-0 in the Southern Section D-I final at Dodger Stadium behind an outstanding pitching performance from righthander Jack Flaherty.

Joining the rankings after winning state titles are Milton (Ga.) High, Pope High (Marietta, Ga.), Thunder Ridge High (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) and Christian Brothers High (Memphis). Cypress (Calif.) High won a City Section title and Rancho Bernardo High (San Diego) won the Open Division of the San Diego section and moved up two spots to No. 8.
