2014 State Draft Report: Kentucky

Although the state has two college products that are likely to go in the top two rounds (Nick Burdi and A.J. Reed), the college crop is down significantly from last year’s banner crop, but is still solid for the state’s historical standards.

Where the state differs most from last year is on the high school side. Only one high school player made the top 500 (Micah Miniard) one year after two prep arms made the top 100. Some scouts said they didn't see a high school game in the state besides Miniard’s.
