See which teams are still looking for affiliates

The player development shuffle will kick into a new gear beginning Tuesday, when minor and major league teams can begin negotiating with unsigned affiliates. As of Monday morning, 31 minor league teams had yet to renew existing player development contracts and are essentially on the free agent market.

A few notable late signings included Triple-A Memphis and Triple-A Tacoma renewing long-standing relationships with the Cardinals and Mariners, respectfully. Neither signing was considered a surprise other than the fact that it took so long for deals to be done. Short-season Batavia and the Cardinals signed a two-year extension, a deal worth noting considering Batavia was on the verge of folding last offseason.

Other recent PDC renewals include high Class A Fort Myers and the Twins (through 2012) and short-season Everett and the Mariners (through 2010).
