Ryne Sandberg's Lehigh Valley team went 80-64 and reached the IL finals
When Ryne Sandberg started out as a minor league manager, it would have been easy for him to just live off his credentials as a Hall of Fame player. But Sandberg has proved himself a legitimate candidate to be a big league manager. For that and a 2011 season in which he led the Phillies' Triple-A Lehigh Valley squad to its first postseason appearance, Sandberg is our 2011 Minor League Manager of the Year.
