AFL rosters feature 25 first-rounders

Think Futures Game, now picture three of them everyday for two months. That's right, the Arizona Fall League is approaching again. Twenty-five first-round picks highlight this year's prospect-laden rosters.
The league has billed itself as the graduate school for top prospects, boasting an impressive list including Rookie of the Year winners Derek Jeter, Nomar Garciaparra and Mike Piazza.
This year's crop is no different, featuring high-profile prospects such as Devil Rays outfielder Josh Hamilton, Yankees third baseman Drew Henson and first baseman Nick Johnson, White Sox outfielder Joe Borchard, Brewers righthander Nick Neugebauer, Rangers third baseman Hank Blalock and Pirates catcher J.R. House.
Diamondbacks lefthander Mike Gosling, recently signed to a $2 million signing bonus, and Blue Jays outfielder Gabe Gross, drafted 15th overall, represent the first-round of the 2001 draft class.
The season begins October 2.
