Roster Move...The Aeros made a couple of moves today...Tonight's original starter, RHP Jamie Brown, was promoted to Triple A Buffalo...Akron received RHP Ruben Escobar from Class A Mahoning Valley of the New York-Penn League and tonight's starter, RHP Mark Turnbow from Class A Columbus of the South Atlantic League.

Other Recent Moves...Yesterday, Akron sent LHP Jim Poole to Cleveland; consequently, he picked up the victory in the Tribe's 14-12 win over the Anaheim Angels...Akron also sent C Steve Soliz to Triple A Buffalo, activated C Robin Harriss and C Adam Taylor from the DL and traded RHP Richard Negrette to the Chicago Cubs organization for C Tyler Houston.

Recently...The Aeros have currently won 5 of their last 6 ball games...All of this comes after a stint when Akron lost 12 of 13.

Tonight's Starter...RHP Mark Turnbow was 3-3 w/ 3.65 ERA in 12 starts with the Columbus RedStixx (66.2 IP, 70 H, 33 R, 27 ER, 13 BB, 68 SO).

The Other New Face...RHP Ruben Escobar was 2-0 w/ 1 save & 3.67 ERA in 17 relief appearances for the Mahoning Valley Scrappers (41.2 IP, 47 H, 20 R, 17 ER, 5 BB, 22 SO.

Rehab Over...The Aeros sent 3B Travis Fryman to Triple A Buffalo yesterday, ending his 4 game rehab assignment with the Aeros...In 4 games, Travis hit .250 (3-12) w/ 4 R, 1 HR & 4 RBI...He DH'd 3 times, playing 3B once...Fryman marks the 5th Tribesman to rehab in the Rubber City this season (Rincon, Martin, Alomar, Gooden).

Power to the Peoples...1B Danny Peoples has really heated up as the season winds down...He currently has a 11-game hitting streak, over which he is batting .422 (18-45) w/ 12 R, 5 2B, 2 HR & 9 RBI.

Also Streaking...2B Junior Betances has an 12-game streak, over which he is batting .409 (18-44) w/ 10 R, 3 2B & 6 RBI.

Elimination...The Aeros are mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.
