High School Top 50: June 14

The Texas state playoffs wrapped up last weekend and caused a shakeup in the latest Baseball America/National High School Baseball Coaches Association rankings. Corpus Christi's Carroll High had a meltdown in the semi-finals and were denied the chance of repeating as 5-A state champions. Brenham (Texas) High also lost in the semi-finals in the 4-A bracket. Both teams fell out of the Top 25, but still made the Top 50.

The staffs of Baseball America and the NHSBCA compile the Top 25 rankings. In-season polls will be conducted every two weeks and released every other Tuesday throughout the season. Records indicated are as of June 12 and do not include ties. One more poll will be released on June 21 to reflect the results for Lexington (Ky.) Catholic High and Lakota East High in Liberty Township, Ohio. They are currently in the state playoffs.
