Dedrick's fastball is lively, creeping into the low 90's. His breaking ball has sharp, late break and is a present out pitch. He shows a good feel for pitching that will transfer to the next level.

Elander is a solidly built catcher with outstanding overall athleticism. He has a strong arm, displaying times between 1.90-1.96 seconds on throws to second base, and also shows power potential at the plate.
SCOOTER GENNETT	IF
School: Sarasota (Fla.) HS
Height: 5-10 Weight: 170
Bats/Throws: L/R
Gennett runs a 6.67 second 60-yard dash and plays an excellent second base. He also has some raw power even while undersized, giving him a nearly complete set of present tools.
TODD GLAESMANN	OF

Glaesmann is a pro-bodied outfielder with raw power and an above-average arm. He runs well and is athletic as he plays quarterback for his high school football team.
KYRELL HUDSON	OF

Hudson is a top-tier athlete with a high ceiling. He is strong, fast and has plus power. Hudson is toolsy and everything he does is quick-twitch. He is a top safety on the football field as well.

Hughes is an imposing lefthander with a smooth and easy arm action. His velocity is in the high-80s with more in the tank. His breaking ball is sharp and he already shows an advanced feel for a changeup.

Jenkins has an extra large frame with long limbs and big hands. He throws four pitches from a high three-quarters arm slot. His heavy fastball sits mostly around 90-91 mph but has been up to 95 mph.

Kreuter is a big and strong corner infielder. His swing has strength and natural loft, leading to significant power. Kreuter has major league bloodlines as the son of Chad Kreuter, Southern California's head coach.

Lane is a premium athlete with speed and the ability to switch-hit. He is a contact hitter and plays a tremendous center field. He is a top recruit as a wide receiver on the football field.

Maddox is an imposing figure and one of best power bats in the 2009 class. He has tremendous arm strength, and is considered as a prospect on the mound as well, where he features a low-90's fastball.

Malm is one of the top all-around hitters in the 2009 class with a sweet lefthanded stroke and pull-side power. A smooth defender with arm strength, Malm has helped Gorman to three state titles.
DEVEN MARRERO	SS
School: American Heritage HS, Davie, Fla.
Height: 6-1 Weight: 180

Marrero is an advanced defender with a great feel for the game. As the starting shortstop, he helped Florida's American Heritage school finish the season ranked No. 1 in Baseball America's High School rankings.
TYLER MATZEK	LHP

Matzek is possibly the top lefthander in the 2009 class. His 6-foot-3 frame holds some strength, though he is still lean. His fastball can reach into the low-to-mid 90s and his breaking ball is a plus pitch.

Needy has an ideal pitcher's frame and a live arm. His fastball has life and sits in the low 90's. He also throws a curve, slider and change with the ability to repeat his delivery and command his arsenal.

Renfroe is an athletic and talented two-way prospect. He has excellent hands in the infield to go with an excellent throwing arm. On the mound, he features command of a quality three-pitch mix.

Rodriguez shows a great feel for pitching as he effectively locates and changes speeds. Rodriguez pitched for the 16-and-under national team last year and throws a fastball in the upper-80's.

Tate is an explosive and aggressive young player with the potential to be the top position player prospect in 2009. A premium athlete, he is strong and makes the game look easy. He plays football as well.

Turner is a big, strong righthander with a quick arm and a fastball reaching the mid-90's. His breaking ball has tight rotation and late sharp action. Turner is the early favorite to be the top righty in 2009.

Tall and lean, Borchering is an exciting offensive prospect with power potential from both sides of the plate. His arm strength is very good across the infield, and his defensive skills are solid.
JAYCE BOYD	1B
School: Tate HS, Pensacola, Fla.

Boyd is a well-rounded prospect with versatile defensive ability. With good hands and feet, he has potential above-average defensive ability at first base. His offensive approach is advanced and he has shown raw power as well.
JAKE ELIOPOULOS	LHP
School: Sacred Heart Catholic HS, Newmarket, Ontario
Height: 6-3 Weight: 168

Wiry and slim with great projection, Eliopoulos is the top pitching prospect from Canada. His fastball is in the high 80s but should make a jump as he matures physically.
NICK FRANKLIN	2B/SS
School: Lake Brantley HS, Longwood, Fla.

Franklin used his sure hands and strong arm to solidfy the starting shortstop role on the USA 16U National Team last summer. He has line drive ability from both sides of the plate and is a plus runner.

Givens makes the game look easy with his smooth actions, soft hands and explosive arm across the diamond. He is a contact hitter and intrigued scouts with a fastball in the mid-90s.

Goodwin hits lefthanded and throws and runs well enough to be a legitimate center fielder. At the plate he has a line drive stroke that produces consistent hard contact.
GARRETT GOULD	RHP

Gould is a strong righthander with a live arm. He gets good downhill plane and offers a plus curveball as an out pitch. Gould is very athletic as he plays both basketball and football, where he plays quarterback.

Graham has a prototypical pitcher's frame with serious arm strength. He pitches in the low 90's and has touched 94-95. This combination makes him a top righthanded prospect in '09.

Krol is a three-pitch lefty with a high three-quarters arm slot. His fastball typically sits between 86-88 mph. Krol's curveball has consistent two-plane movement.

Leemhuis has a lively stroke and an advanced hitting approach, allowing him to drive the ball into the gaps. He is a solid runner and thrower capable of playing either corner outfield spot.

Marisnick is a strong center fielder with an impressive array of tools. With the ability to run, throw and defend, Marisnick also swings with authority. Marisnick is also a talented wide receiver.

Morris is a pro-bodied center fielder with real athleticism, clocking 60-yard dash times at 6.5 seconds. In addition, Morris is a standout high school quarterback.

Although a bit under-sized, Perez has few weaknesses in his game. He runs well, shows sure hands and a strong arm. He also swings the bat well as a switch-hitter and has a high baseball IQ.

Tall and projectable, Purke has overpowering present stuff and was on USA Baseball's junior national team last summer. Using a three-quarters arm slot, Purke throws a fastball with late sinking life that reaches the low 90s.

A product of a baseball family, Stassi spent three years playing for USA Baseball's national teams and has displayed his stellar defense and leadership ability behind the plate. He is also considered a top pure hitting prospect.

With a big league body and above-average athleticism, Walsh has excellent run and throw abilities. His defensive skills behind the plate are solid, and he is a capable switch-hitter.
ZACK WHEELER	RHP

Wheeler is tall, lean and projectable, throwing a low-90s fastball with sink. He also has command of a quality breaking pitch and changeup, giving him an advanced three-pitch mix.

Height: 6-4 Weight: 190

Long and lean with an an electric arm, Younginer pitches in the low-90's, touching 94 mph. Pitching from an overhand slot, he throws a sharp 12-6 curve ball. He has a quick arm and projection.
