| In the NFL draft, Jimmy Johnson helped popularize a draft value chart that spelled out how much each pick was worth. There's no equivalent in baseball because with no trading of picks allowed, there's never been a need. But to give a pretty straightforward look at who is having a draft bonanza, we assigned a point value to each of the picks in the first six rounds: the first pick is worth 201 points while the 201st pick (the last pick in the sixth round) is worth one point. By that calculation, the Diamondbacks have a chance to have a great draft. |
