DURHAM, N.C.—For the second year in a row, Oregon State finished the season on top of the college baseball world and on top of Baseball America's final Top 25 rankings. The Beavers, who had reached No. 4 in the rankings in late March but entered the NCAA tournament unranked, vaulted five spots to No. 1 after winning their final 10 postseason games--the last four by six runs or more.

North Carolina repeated as national runner-up and finished with a No. 2 ranking for the second straight year. Preseason and pre-College World Series No. 1 Rice finished in the top four for the second year in a row after losing twice to UNC, while Arizona State dropped below UC Irvine to No. 5.

Vanderbilt, which held the top spot for nine straight weeks before losing to Michigan in regionals, finished the season with a No. 6 ranking. Louisville and Mississippi State swapped spots after the Cardinals won a game in Omaha while the Bulldogs went 0-for-2. The rest of the rankings remained the same.
