After nine weeks at No. 1, Vanderbilt was knocked out of the Nashville regional by Michigan and dropped four spots to No. 5. Michigan jumped back into the rankings at No. 15, while preseason No. 1 Rice regained the top spot.

Of previously ranked teams, Mississippi and Clemson made the most significant jumps from last week. The Rebels leapt 12 spots to No. 13, and the Tigers climbed 11 places to No. 9.
