DURHAM, N.C.--Despite a pair of midweek losses to local rivals Lipscomb and Middle Tennessee State, Vanderbilt recovered to sweep league foe and rival Tennessee and remained atop Baseball America's Top 25 college baseball rankings. It's the fourth consecutive week the Commodores have held the top spot.

Other teams in the top 10, however, were on the move, with Florida State moving up to No. 2 after winning a series against North Carolina. The Tar Heels moved down from No. 2 to No. 6, making way for Virginia, Rice and Texas. South Carolina, ranked No. 4 entering the week, lost a weekend series at Mississippi, falling to a modest 10-8 in the Southeastern Conference, and fell behind league leader Arkansas (13-5 SEC) in the rankings. The Razorbacks won a series at Georgia to move up to No. 7, with the Gamecocks falling to No. 9.

Two preseason top 15 tams moved back into the Top 25 after extended absences. Georgia Tech, 13-7 in the Atlantic Coast Conference, earned the No. 24 spot with a sweep of North Carolina State. UCLA swept Cal State Northridge and is now ranked 25th.
