After dominating UCF in a three-game sweep, LSU has now scored in double digits in six of its first seven games. So. SS D.J. LeMahieu continued his torrid start to the season, going 7-for-10 with two homers and six RBIs on the weekend to raise his overall batting average to .625. The Tigers moved Sr. RHP Louis Coleman back to the bullpen, and So. RHP Anthony Ranaudo (6.1 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 10 K) had no trouble replacing him in the Friday starter slot.

RHP Brandon Workman turned in the best of UT's four strong starts this weekend, racking up 10 strikeouts and walking just two in a complete-game no-hitter Sunday (see Three Strikes for more on Workman's outing). So. RHP Cole Green (8.1 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 7 K) was nearly as good Saturday.

The Tar Heels overcame rainy conditions to sweep Seton Hall; they have now won 18 straight games against the Pirates. UNC played a doubleheader Friday and endured a one-hour, 26-minute weather delay to win Saturday's game. UNC's offense has been solid, as six regulars are now batting better than .370 on the season. So. RHP Matt Harvey picked up two wins in two days, working a scoreless ninth in the nightcap Friday and coming back to strike out five over three hitless, scoreless innings in a staff day Saturday. The Tar Heels begin conference play next weekend against Clemson.

RHP Daniel Renken (7 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 7 K), Jr. RHP Kyle Witten (7.2 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 5 K) and Fr. RHP Tyler Pill (5.1 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 5 K). Jr. OF Khris Davis powered the offense in Sunday's win, belting three home runs and driving in six as part of a 4-for-4 day. Davis is the first Titan to hit three homers in a game since Aaron Rifkin did it in the 2001 super regionals.

Jr. LHP Josh Spence was outstanding in two starts against Missouri, first striking out 13 over seven scoreless in midweek action, then allowing just two runs and whiffing eight more over 6 2/3 in a no-decision Sunday (see the Draft Blog for more on Spence). Jr. RHP Mike Leake (8 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 10 K) carried a no-hitter into the eighth inning Friday against the Tigers.

Jr. 1B Rich Poythress (6-for-15, 6 RBI, 2 2B) and Jr. OF Matt Cerione (7-for-10, 4 R, 7 RBI, 2 2B, 3B) led the onslaught for the Bulldogs. Fr. RHP Michael Palazzone (3 IP, 1 H, 0 R) picked up his first collegiate win in relief Sunday.

RHP Kyle Blair (6 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 5 BB, 8 K) was solid in a no-decision in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader, and So. 3B Victor Sanchez hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth to beat Kansas State. USD got another walk-off win in the nightcap against Nevada, as So. Zach Walters delivered a game-winning pinch-hit RBI single in the ninth.

Sr. 3B Matt Carpenter (5-for-7, 4 R, 2 RBI, HR) was one of eight Horned Frogs to record a multiple-hit game in TCU's 25-hit onslaught Saturday in support of Jr. RHP Tyler Lockwood (5 IP, 8 H, 6 ER). Texas Christian coach Jim Schlossnagle said it was wet and cold with the wind howling out Saturday—"impossible to pitch or play defense in."

The Rebels pounded out 16 hits in support of Jr. RHP Aaron Barrett (4.2 iP, 10 H, 6 R, 5 ER, 1 BB, 5 K), but the Horned Frogs had 25 hits and scored in each of the final seven innings.

Weislow, a .203 hitter in 74 at-bats entering the season (with no career homers), scored Miami's only two runs Saturday, and that was enough for Jr. RHP David Gutierrez (7 IP, 6 H, 0 R). Sr. OF Dave DiNatale (4-for-6, 3 R, 3 RBI) led a 20-hit assault Sunday in support of So. LHP Iden Nazario (5 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 5 BB, 7 K).

Jr. SS Bryant Hernandez doubled home a run and scored another in a two-run 11th in Game Two. He followed with two more hits and three more RBIs in the nightcap. Jr. LHP J.R. Robinson (3 IP, 8 H, 7 R, 6 ER) was hit hard Sunday after beating USD earlier in the week.

Coastal topped Tennessee ace lefty Nick Hernandez in its second game Friday behind a 4-for-4 day from Jr. OF Chance Gilmore, who fell a homer short of the cycle.

LHP Sean Gilmartin (7 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 9 K). Holt went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a homer, four runs and two RBIs in a losing effort Saturday. He's 18-for-28 (.643) and already has eight doubles.

Jr. LHP Andrew Oliver (7 IP, 8 H, 6 ER, 4 BB, 7 K) wasn't at his best in the rematch against East Carolina, but the Cowboys scored four runs in the seventh to help him improve to 2-0 on the season.

So. 3B/1B Stefen Romero (3-for-5, 4 RBI, 2 2B) was the offensive leader in the win against Missouri. Jr. RHP Jorge Reyes (5 IP, 3 H, 1 ER) turned in a strong outing Sunday, and three relievers combined to work four scoreless, one-hit innings of relief.

Jr. 3B Adam Buschini (4-for-5, 3 RBI, 2B) paced Poly's 16-hit attack Saturday in support of Sr. LHP Jared Eskew (6 IP, 8 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, 7 K). The Mustangs broke a 1-1 tie with five runs in the sixth Sunday to make a winner out of So. LHP Matt Leonard (6 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 6 K). The Mustangs are doing all this without injured projected ace RHP Steven Fischback (shoulder).

RHP Nick Tepesch (6.1 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 8 K) gave Mizzou a badly needed strong start in Sunday's travel-curfew-shortened win, and the Tigers scored five runs over the final two innings to snap their skid.
