UNC played a doubleheader Friday and endured a one-hour, 26-minute weather delay to win Saturday's game. UNC's offense has been solid, as six regulars are now batting better than .370 on the season. So. RHP Matt Harvey picked up two wins in two days, working a scoreless ninth in the nightcap Friday and coming back to strike out five over three hitless, scoreless innings in a staff day Saturday. The Tar Heels begin conference play next weekend against Clemson.

Jr. OF Khris Davis powered the offense in Sunday's win, belting three home runs and driving in six as part of a 4-for-4 day. Davis is the first Titan to hit three homers in a game since Aaron Rifkin did it in the 2001 super regionals.

Jr. RHP Kyle Gibson (7 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 8 K) pitched well Friday but lost a duel to Sun Devils ace Mike Leake. So. RHP Nick Tepesch (6.1 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 8 K) gave Mizzou a badly needed strong start in Sunday's travel-curfew-shortened win, and the Tigers scored five runs over the final two innings to snap their skid.
