2006 College Transfer List

October 7, 2005

The NCAA's one-time transfer exception allows players (in sports other than football, men's basketball and men's ice hockey) to participate immediately--without sitting out a year--as long as his or her former school does not object. That rule, combined with the NCAA limit of 11.7 baseball scholarships, prompts scores of transfers each year, so many that the NCAA formed a special committee to study baseball transfers as they pertain to the Academic Progress Report. This lists shows only players who have transferred from one four-year Division I program to another. It does not display players moving in or out of the small college or junior college levels.
