The Double-A Texas League had plenty of talent this season, most of it concentrated among four teams. While Tulsa (six players on this Top 20 list), Corpus Christi (four), Midland and Wichita (three each) had a host of interesting players on their rosters, the prospects were sparse at other league stops. The talent also showed on the field, as those four teams made the playoffs, with Corpus Christi beating Wichita in the championship series.

Spacious major league spring-training parks turn home runs into long outs, several of the stadiums have prevailing winds that blow in, and the heat and humidity sap hitters' bat speed as the long season rolls along. But hitters this year had extra reason to feel they were being picked on. Because the league has some of the best April weather in the minors, teams stocked their FSL affiliates with a slew of the best pitching prospects in baseball.
