Mondile first caught scouts' attention as a freshman on a Gloucester Catholic team that included current Maryland ace Mike Shawaryn. Three years later, Mondile is among the top pitching prospects in the Northeast. His best pitch is his fastball, which has shown excellent life at times, and has reached as high as 96 mph, though it sits mostly at 89-92. Mondile has shown the ability to locate his curveball, but the pitch has fringy bite and will have to improve at the next level. He has excellent feel for his changeup and can locate it to either side of the plate. He went toe-to-toe with Jason Groome in a mid-May matchup in Camden, N.J., that was the highlight of the spring in New Jersey, selling out the ballpark in Camden with 6,000 fans paying, with proceeds going to charity. Mondile is committed to Florida State.
