Busby's father Wayne was drafted in 1988 in the 19th round, but Dylan should go out much higher in 2017. A three-year starter in the infield, Busby has flipped between third and first base for the Seminoles and has the power to profile for either spot. He has an athletic 6-foot-3, 190-pound frame and runs well enough to fit into an outfield corner, and he has at least average arm strength that could play in right field or at third. Busby's calling card is his plus raw power, which played with wood last summer in the Cape Cod League (.567 slugging, 4 HR in 90 at-bats). Busby's swing can get long and he doesn't control the strike zone well, with swing-and-miss being a consistent part of his game. He was slowed at times this spring by a left shoulder injury, but as usual, he found a groove and got hot in the second half--he raised his batting average nearly 50 points in the final two months of the season. A big finish could push him back into the first five rounds.
