Davidson has never put up big numbers at Pepperdine, hitting a career-best .287/.362/.450 last year but dipping to .265/.327/.393 this year. Still, scouts continue to praise his pure hitting ability, as they have since his high school days. He has a quick hands and a loose, easy swing, giving him a chance to be a slightly above-average hitter down the road if he can put it all together. He has cut down his leg kick some, helping improve his timing, and he flashes fringe-average power but won't mash enough to profile at third base. Davidson's hands, actions and average arm work in the infield, but his heavy feet lead to limited range. He'll likely move to second base in pro ball, and he projects as a marginal defender, so his bat will have to carry him. He's a below-average runner.
