Humphreys was bypassed in the draft last season before having a breakout campaign this spring, making him one of the better position players from the junior college ranks, a corner bat with a loose swing and above-average power potential. His 18 home runs ranked second in the junior college ranks and he produced an isolated slugging of .369. His hit tool will be a question at the next level but he has a chance to hit for average. He hits the ball well on the middle to inner half of the plate but will need to learn to drive the ball on the outer half. He struck out in 18 percent of his plate appearances. His hands work at third base, though his range is limited as a below-average runner. His arm is fringe-average. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Humphreys has an athletic build and is committed to Florida Southern. His skill set has garnered interest in the top half-dozen rounds.
