Everett is the top high school player in Tennessee this spring and one of the hardest throwers in the nation. He had both the hardest fastball and the highest average fastball velocity at the WWBA World Championships last fall, as measured by TrackMan. Everett, a Vanderbilt commit, has continued to pitch well this spring. He holds his velocity well thanks to his strong, 6-foot-2, 220 pound frame. He has some power to his slider, which is an above-average pitch at its best. He hasn't needed to use his changeup much in high school, but he has some feel for the offering. Everett has some effort in his delivery and throws across his body. As a result, he may never pitch with much command and some scouts believe he profiles better as a reliever than a starter. Despite any concerns teams might have, Everett's powerful arm and good stuff have him on track to become the first player drafted from Clarksville High since 1967, possibly going as high as the first round.
