Duke Sardinha

Power-hitting 2B/3B/OF Duke Sardinha was a late-round Rockies draft pick last year as a sophomore and returned to Pepperdine after hand surgery foiled his efforts to swing the bat. He hit just .226 last year. After splitting time between second base, third base and right field, he should upgrade his draft standing significantly after adding almost 100 points to his average. He would become the third Sardinha brother in pro ball. Dane, a former Pepperdine All-American, was a second-round pick of the Reds in 2000; Bronson was a supplemental first-rounder of the Yankees last year.
