Scouts seldom get excited about first baseman, unless a Will Clark happens to come along. There are no Will Clarks in the field this year. The closest thing is Florida’s Brewer — if he’ll only concentrate on playing the position. Brewer has been used extensively in the outfield and on the pitching mound by the Gators, in addition to spending time at first.
