Trend: The White Sox have been quite conservative of late, and along with some trades that has left the farm system thinner than they want. General manager Kenny Williams and senior director of player personnel Dave Wilder reportedly are significantly involved in the decision making at No. 25. The organization has a long history of avoiding Scott Boras clients, going back to botched negotiations in the 1990s with Bobby Seay, Jeff Weaver and Bobby Hill.
This Year's Outlook: Chicago needs players with upside, athletes and help up the middle. Problem is, this isn't a great draft for middle infielders. The White Sox may have more success finding impact bats.
