Draft Report Cards: Overview

See also: 2006 Draft All-Stars

As we wrap up the Draft Report Cards, we look at the first-year stars from this year's draft. For most of the categories, only players who signed are eligible. The only exceptions are Most Intriguing Background and The One Who Got Away. The lone remaining unsigned first-rounder, Max Scherzer (No. 11, Diamondbacks) is expected to eventually come to terms, so he was considered for other categories. Best Late-Round Pick is reserved for players selected in the 10th round or later.

We stopped putting letter grades on the report cards years ago, because it's too early to evaluate a draft with that degree of precision. But we do believe we have enough information to provide the overview below. For much more information by team, enjoy the following five pages. The numbers in parentheses indicate the round in which a player was drafted.
