It looks like the Appalachian League will have nine teams in 2007, after league president Lee Landers' unsuccessful efforts to find a new major league affiliate or a co-op for Pulaski.
The Baltimore Orioles announced that they are adding a Gulf Coast League team which will bring their total U.S. affiliations up to seven.
