SEE IT: Banuelos Outlasts Altherr In Reading

READING, Pa.—In a system starved for top-flight prospects, the return to form of Manny Banuelos is important for the Yankees. Twenty months removed from Tommy John surgery, Banuelos was on the mound last Thursday at FirstEnergy Stadium in Reading, 10 days removed from a bout of dead arm.

He was on a pitch count of three innings or 35 pitches, whichever came first. Thanks to Reading outfielder Aaron Altherr, the pitch limit expired before the desired three innings.

Altherr struck out, but ate up 14 pitches in the process. You can see all 14 of those pitches below. Note that the readings on the stadium radar gun are different from the readings on Baseball America’s radar gun, which are below.
