MLB Has Wrong Attitude On Slotting

There are two things that MLB's slotting system doesn't acknowledge: teams are always going to pay for talent, and spending on the draft is the most cost-efficient way to build and maintain a winner. It also underscores how silly the commissioner's office's efforts to deflate bonuses and its desire to control them further have become.
