tigers-900x635HE’S WHERE? He was penciled in as the Tigers’ closer for most of spring training, but righthander Bruce Rondon is starting the year in Triple-A Toledo. Nick Castellanos struggled in his time in Double-A last year, but the Tigers were impressed enough this spring to bump him up to Triple-A Toledo.

WHO’S MISSING: Outfielder Avisail Garcia will begin the season on the disabled list with a bruised right heel. Righthander Jake Thompson, the club’s first pick in the 2012 draft, is starting in extended spring training, which was always the plan.

GO SEE: Toledo has Rondon and Castellanos, but low Class A West Michigan’s outfield should be a treat as well, with Austin Schotts, Danry Vasquez and Jake Stewart.
