High A Dish: Snyder Developing A Habit

The California and Florida State Leagues both had yesterday off and will resume play today.

Carolina League

Prospect Of The Day

We’re running out of things to say about Brandon Snyder this week. With other prospects in the league either hurt, taking a day off or simply not performing, it makes it hard to select a POTD, but the Frederick (Orioles) first baseman just keeps on raking. He was 2-for-4 last night with a double, run scored and RBI, raising his season line to .306/.339/.482.
Prospect Nuggets

Winston-Salem (White Sox) first baseman Brandon Allen was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in a 10-2 rout of Kinston (Indians)…Wilmington (Royals) outfielder Derrick Robinson was 3-for-4 with a run scored. He also stole his 43rd base of the season, putting him in the top five in the minors…Frederick righthander Brandon Erbe hasn’t quite figured out his consistency. He lasted 5 2/3 last night, allowing six runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out five. He fell to 6-9, 4.69.

What To Watch For Today

Lynchburg (Pirates) and Frederick match up at 7 p.m. for today’s only Carolina League game.
