Worth The Risk

Jordan Smith was a guy the Reds took a bit of a risk on when they picked him in the sixth round of the 2006 draft. Smith had been a catcher in high school before converting to pitcher at Southern Nevada CC. He was lean at 6-foot-4 and 174 pounds, but the Reds liked his arm enough to make him a high pick.
