Taking It Slow

Lefthander Scott Elbert, a first-round pick in 2004 and once one of the Dodgers' top pitching prospects, has finally come to the end of a 14-month rehabilitation from shoulder surgery that included at least a couple of setbacks. Elbert, 22, was promoted from extended spring training to Double-A Jacksonville, where he made his season debut on June 4 with one hitless inning out of the bullpen against Mobile.
