John Perrotto -Premium Content

Andrew McCutchen is finishing his first full season of professional baseball on a strong note, proving those four years of home economics classes that he took in high school were really worth the while. McCutchen, the Pirates' first-round draft pick in 2005, received a two-level promotion from low Class A Hickory to Double-A Altoona after hitting .291/.356/.446 in 453 at-bats in the South Atlantic League, including a .382 batting average in his final 12 games.
