Righthander Brody Colvin's final start of 2011—6 2/3 shutout innings to lead high Class A Clearwater to a win over Brevard County—was the equivalent of finishing a poor round of golf with a birdie. Colvin finished a difficult season at 3-8, 4.71, but his final outing, and the entire learning experience of 2011, left him eager to get to spring training and begin the new season.
