Every player has one veteran colleague or a retired player who moves him. For Lastings Milledge, that player is Frank Robinson. Milledge never saw Robinson play because his career ended almost 10 years before Milledge was born. But he knows about the Hall of Famer, and on March 13 he wanted Robinson to know about him. The Mets were playing Robinson's Nationals in Port St. Lucie, and Milledge wanted to give him something to see, or as he put it, "I wanted to show him what I've got."

No Brewers prospect took a bigger step backward over the past year and a half than righthander Ben Hendrickson. Considered the top pitcher in the farm system in 2004, Hendrickson had a disastrous stay with the Brewers late that season, going 1-8, 6.22 in 46 innings. At the time, he looked nothing like the pitcher who went 11-3, 2.02 at Triple-A Indianapolis while claiming 2004 International League pitcher of the year honors.
