Mets Organization Report

Every player has one veteran colleague or a retired player who moves him. For Lastings Milledge, that player is Frank Robinson. Milledge never saw Robinson play because his career ended almost 10 years before Milledge was born. But he knows about the Hall of Famer, and on March 13 he wanted Robinson to know about him. The Mets were playing Robinson’s Nationals in Port St. Lucie, and Milledge wanted to give him something to see, or as he put it, “I wanted to show him what I’ve got.”
