Tupelo’s Time

Tupelo (Miss.) takes over the top spot as American Heritage fell to Palm Beach Central. James River (Midlothian, Va.) took the biggest hit, falling out of the Top 25 from No. 14. The Rapids were beat by Midlothian rival Cosby High, who was No. 36 in the preseason. Paul VI (Fairfax, Va.) vaulted into the rankings after tearing through the Southeastern Baseball Classic in South Carolina and beating St. John’s High (Washington, D.C.) on the road.

The staff of Baseball America and the National High School Baseball Coaches Association Ranking Committee compiles the top 25 rankings. In-season polls are conducted bi-weekly and released every Tuesday. The final poll will be released June 23. Records included are as of Sunday, April 13 and do not reflect ties.
