High School Top 50

DURHAM, N.C.‘”The top two teams in the
Baseball America/National High School Baseball Coaches Association poll held on
to their lofty rankings, as No. 1 The Woodlands (Texas) High and No. 2 Jackson
High (Mill Creek, Wash.), continued their respective state playoffs.
          At least seven states had completed their postseasons, and
No. 3 Flanagan High (Pembroke Pines,
Fla.
), which clinched the Florida
Class 6-A title, was one of three state champions to secure top-10 rankings in
the latest poll. No. 7 Chaparral High (Scottsdale,
Ariz.) earned Arizona‘s
Class 4-A crown and No. 8 Monsignor Pace (Opa Locka,
Fla.) capped its season with Florida‘s Class 4-A title.
          The staff of Baseball America and the National High
School Baseball Coaches Association compile the Top 50 rankings. In-season
polls are conducted every other week, with the final poll released June 19.
Records indicated as of May 21 and do not include ties.
