High School Top 25: (June 18) Harvard-Westlake High Finishes No. 1

In the final Baseball America/National High School Baseball Coaches Association Top 25, Harvard-Westlake High of Studio City, Calif., is No. 1 and lays claim to Baseball America’s 2013 High School Team of the Year.

Since the last poll, the final state tournaments have wrapped up with Texas having the biggest implications. There are no changes in this poll as the higher-ranked teams won their respective games. The Woodlands (Texas) High finishes at No. 3 after beating No. 16 Dulles High (Sugar Land, Texas) in the 5-A final. Dulles had advanced by beating No. 18 Martin High (Arlington, Texas). Howell High of St. Charles, Mo., and Cincinnati’s Archbishop Moeller also claimed state titles to hold onto their spots.

The staffs of Baseball America and the NHSBCA compile the Top 25 rankings. Records indicated are as of June 16 and do not include ties.
