Over the two-year history of the event 39 of its alumni have been drafted, including 10 first-round picks, including Kasey Kiker (Rangers, first round, 2006), Chris Parmelee (Twins, first round, 2006) and Phillippe Aumont (Mariners, first round, 2007).

He was selected as the Los Angeles City Section player of the year for the second consecutive season, and trumped that honor by becoming just the second player from the Golden State to be named Baseball America's High School Player of the Year.

HS Top 50: Final 2007 Rankings

Wilson High (Long Beach) finished its season 32-3 and won the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section Division I championship. The staff of Baseball America and the National High School Baseball Coaches Association unanimously voted Wilson High as the final No. 1 team in the 2007 Top 50 rankings.
