The Brewers already have locked up both of their first-round picks. After agreeing to terms with Georgia Southern outfielder Victor Roache (No. 28 overall) for $1.525 million, Milwaukee announced the signing of Washington high school catcher Clint Coulter (No. 27) on Friday.
Coulter, who stands out most with his plus righthanded power and has drawn some Mike Napoli comparisons, signed for $1.675 million. That matches the assigned value for the No. 27 selection.
Coulter becomes the sixth of the 31 first-rounders to sign within four days of getting drafted.
