Less than a week after announcing he was leaving Alabama’s head coaching post, Jim Wells changed his mind.
In a press conference Wednesday evening in Tuscaloosa, Wells said he “personally rushed myself into that decision, that I didn’™t allow myself the time needed to really consider everything I needed to.”
Former BA intern Josh Cooper, who covers Alabama for the Decatur Daily, reports that Wells had trouble sleeping the past few nights, convincing him that he had made the wrong decision. Wells also received word from Alabama athletics director Mal Moore that there are some facility upgrades on the way for the Crimson Tide.
“Coach Moore has assured me it will be done, and I believe him,” Wells said.
