Ninth In SEC Doesn’t Earn Reward

The first years after the NCAA Tournament jumped from 48 to 64 teams, the Division I baseball committee usually gave the benefit of the doubt to teams from the North, as well as teams that finished high in conferences outside of the traditional power leagues. This year, the committee went back a bit to its turn-of-the-century roots.
