with 25 runs scored, it was still a pitcher–lefthander Bobby Bramhall,
who came out of the Rice bullpen to throw two scoreless innings.

Louisville committed four errors overall. As Cardinals coach Dan
McDonnell said, the Owls played “cleaner baseball,” one of the reasons
they won the game. Also, Louisville’s Logan Johnson homered twice and
just missed a third homer in the ninth, flying out to the warning track
in right in the seventh.
