Virginia remained at No. 1 in the Baseball America Top 25 for the fourth straight week despite a midweek loss to Old Dominion, while red-hot Indiana vaulted into the top 10 and UC Irvine entered the rankings for the first time this season.
Oregon State stayed at No. 2 following a sweep at Cal, and Louisiana-Lafayette remained No. 3 after winning a road series at Arkansas State, the second-place team in the Sun Belt.
Southeastern Conference leader Florida and Florida State jumped over Cal Poly to round out the top five. Washington moved to sixth following a sweep of Utah. The Mustangs fell to seventh after a 2-2 week. Miami, Indiana and Louisville complete the top 10.
The Hoosiers, who were preseason No. 3, jumped six spots from No. 15 following a sweep of Purdue. Indiana has won 19 of 21.
Other big movers include Big 12 co-leaders Texas Christian and Oklahoma State, which jumped five spots apiece to No. 12 and No. 13, respectively. South Carolina dropped to 17th from No. 9 following a series loss at Georgia, the third series loss in the last five weeks for the Gamecocks. Alabama fell to No. 19 from 12th after the Tide was swept by Florida at home.
Texas A&M, Mississippi State and UC Irvine entered the rankings, while Kentucky, Central Florida and Texas Tech fell out. The Aggies took two of three from Louisiana State, while the Bulldogs swept Auburn and the Anteaters swept UC Santa Barbara.
