Julio Borbon hasn’t shown much power this year, but he did rise to occasion on Sunday.
California League
Prospect Of The Day
Julio Borbon picked a perfect time to hit his second home run of the season. He led off the home half of the 10th inning, with the game tied at two, with a long ball to clinch the win 3-2. On the night, Borbon was 4-for-4 with the home run and three singles, but he also swiped two bases, giving him 33 on the season.
Prospect Nuggets
Righthander Tim Alderson had a good start spoiled by a blown save and the eventual home run by Borbon. He held Bakersfield to four hits over seven innings with one walk and one strikeout…Sean Doolittle went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. He knocked in the lone run on a solo home run, his 16th of the year…Cedric Hunter was 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored…Barry Enright got a no decision, but pitched six strong innings, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out six…Brett Anderson is back to his early-season form it seems. He picked up a win after throwing seven innings and allowing just one run on three hits and no walks while striking out seven.
What To Watch For Today
Henry Sosa (1-1, 2.00) will try avenge Alderson’s spoiled start as he takes the hill against Stockton (Athletics).

Prospect Of The Day
