At the start of the 2012, Manny Banuelos and Dellin Betances were the Yankees' top pitching prospects.

Banuelos, as reported by the Trentonian, will require Tommy John surgery. Betances had a disastrous season (6.43 ERA in 131 innings), but will try to end his season on a positive note in the Arizona Fall League. The Yankees had several "TBA" spots when preliminary Arizona Fall League rosters were released toward the end of August, but they (and teams such as the Blue Jays and Giants) have now filled all their TBA spots.

Other notable moves for the 20th season of the Arizona Fall League:

• The Dodgers added a Cuban to the Mesa roster, as lefthander Onelki Garcia, a 2012 draftee, joins free-agent acquisition Yasiel Puig on the Solar Sox team.

• A small hint that righthander Christian Garcia could make the Nationals' postseason roster—he's been removed from their AFL contingent. Cole Kimball replaced him.

• Scottsdale had the most TBA players from the Yankees, Giants and Pirates. New York's contingent will include fast-moving 2011 draftee Mark Montgomery, a reliever with a dastardly slider.

• The Blue Jays added several intriguing pitchers to the Salt River squad, from 2010 first-rounder Deck McGuire to Sam Dyson (who briefly reached the majors this season) to 2011 third-rounder John Stilson.
