Bryce Harper is a sensationally gifted player who, we all hope, will fufill his promise and become one of the game's legendary stars.  This is not a knock against Harper, but I would never compare him to Willie Mays. I personally saw Willie play during the prime of his career, which, I am guessing, is a statement no one currently on the BA staff can make.  In my view, Willie was the greatest all around player in baseball history.  Harper will be terrific, but he does not compare to Mays.  Among modern players, perhaps only Kemp is close.
