The Red Sox have agreed to sign 16-year-old Dominican righthander Dioscar Romero for $600,000, according to a report from Baseball America correspondent Alex Speier.
A scouting report on Romero, who played in the Dominican Prospect League, is available to BA subscribers. Romero is the third confirmed international signing for the Red Sox since July 2. The Red Sox also agreed to terms with Dominican shortstop Raimel Flores for $900,000 and Dominican outfielder Manuel Marcos for $800,000.
